Tokymini Unplugged Elementary School STEAM Kit
TokyLabs Tokymini introduces programming to beginners ages 6 to 9 years old
TokyLabs designed a hardware kit to mix craftsmanship, decoration, electronics, and coding. Kids will have exposure to skills required at their age plus extra advanced learning in the full course provided. The Tokymini is the perfect no-screen STEAM kit for early learners. They learn coding with physical puzzle-like pieces and connect sensors and actuators to Tokymini to build unique STEAM projects.
Too much screen time can make it hard for children to sleep at night, creating early sight problems and raising the risk for attention problems, anxiety, and depression. Consequently, parents want to reduce screen time while encouraging their kids to learn programming and new technologies.
Tokylabs invented a puzzle system that snaps together to make all sorts of programs and tech projects. It comes with a device (Tokymini) that reads the physical program and connects sensors and actuators to make inventions such as an automated home, a coin counter, a fan, or even a remote controlled robot.
Tokymini's curriculum is built around designing, building, and coding projects related to music, art, and engineering. Its structure comprises 70% craftsmanship, creativity, and critical thinking, and 30% coding and electronics. It is best suited to kids ages 6 to 9 years old – total beginners in programming. The Tokymini is the perfect choice to start the first steps into the world of technology and STEM without compromising children’s health.
