Nordic Semi nRF54LM20 Development Kit - Unboxing | DigiKey

We take a look at the nRF54LM20 Development Kit from Nordic Semi, integrating Bluetooth LE, Matter, Thread, and Zigbee support with an efficient Arm Cortex-M33 processor, and an available NPU for edge Ai applications. Inside the box, you’ll find the nRF54LM20 Development Kit, an NFC antenna, a quick start card, and some stickers. In this demo we’re going to use nRF Connect for Desktop to program the SoC with a peripheral UART example and exchange messages with a phone over Bluetooth. Plug the USB C cable into the Debugger USB C port (The other USB C port connects to the SoC’s USB host, but we won’t be using it here). Then move the power switch to the on position. Open the quick start application in nRF Connect for Desktop and it will identify the board. Then follow the prompts to program the board with the UART Peripheral example. Once you reach the evaluate step, you can click the testing steps link for online documentation. Return to the start window, open the serial terminal, and connect to your device. "It will populate two COM ports, so you may need to change ports if no messages appear. On the nRF Connect mobile app, connect to the device listed as Nordic_UART_Service. Then press the down arrow under UART TX characteristics to get notified of incoming messages. On the desktop app, send a message and you’ll see it appear here. Under UART RX, you can press the up arrow to send a message and you’ll see it appear on the terminal as well. Then you can follow through the rest of the quick start application to find additional resources and setup your development tools.
