NXP’s feature rich software stack is supported on multiple platforms and can work seamlessly across the portfolio though the underlying acceleration technology in Layerscape SoCs might vary (PPFE or DPAA). NXP keeps the differences in the Layerscape processors transparent to the design engineer and offer common offload APIs to program the accelerators. This allows migration from one platform to the other without disrupting the previous software investments.
